Subject: Lightning in Bottle
I went to this show having been to several P& F shows previous but my expectations were fairly low. We got in early, found a sweet spot about three rows from the stage and then everything just blew up!
The lights went down (sorta), the band came out and then all hell broke loose. I mean this in a good way, because I had never heard these songs sung by Chris Robinson and while he had to refer to a teleprompter at times, he and the band absolutely blew the roof off of the Patriot Center. I still have these on CD in car.
To me the highlights are "Alabama Getaway", "Jam > Tumbleweeds > Hurricane > Box", "Brown Sugar" and "*-Miles High". That said there isn't a poorly play song here even "Mississippi Hal-Step..." which don't prefer is well played. There isn't a badly played song here, and Larry Campbell and John Molo on 100% on their game.
Great show!!!!
